Gemex should be a natural part of an effective belt transmission and should stand for high competence, technical simplicity and totally economic optimal solutions.
Gemex is a hydraulic adjustable motor shelf for belt transmissions. Today, a Gemex is found in over 2000 installations within heavy industry, mining, car manufacturing and paper mills amongst others.
We don't yet know the life expectancy though the first installation that we carried out back in 1992 is still going strong.
A Gemex solves many problems, including increasing efficiency (output/input) and shortening the production stops whilst maintaince is kept to a minimum. This gives Gemex a key position in heavy industry.
Gemex consists of two main components:
- an articulated shelf, on which the motor is mounted.
- A hydraulic cylinder with a mechanical locking, which adjusts and fixes the position of the shelf
Also included is a hydraulic hand-pump with a manometer and a hammer for locking.
